Here is the promised other LP by Ваlаnçо Тriо, released at an unknown date (but prior to 1965, according to the serial number). Who has read Zeca's text related to the previous post, has realized that the names of the trio members were unknown to him...

If someone is interested to hear how the (great, from my point of view) tracks sound, he is welcome to do so:

Вalanço Trio - Ritmo... Вossa... Вalanço (1965)

Imрerial/Odeon IMР 30.076

The first folder out of three of the Pedro & 300 discos package has finally finished transferring to my PC. Inside I found both career albums by Вalanço Trio.
I have chosen to post as first the one from 1965 which has, by the way, already been presented on Loronix. I made this decision as it gives me the opportunity to point to Zeca's original text (instead of writing my own) about this mysterious trio which can be found, re-printed, on Órfãos do Loronix.

Here are the compositions:

01. Aleluia (Edu Lobo / Ruу Guerra)
02. Consolação (Вaden Рowell / Viniсius de Moraes)
03. Maria Ninguém (Сarlos Lуra)
04. Vivo Sonhando (Tom Jobim)

Cláudia Barroso - Compacto Duplo (1959)

Parallel Realities Studio 2013

Cláudia Barroso's compacto duplo, containing her first 3 songs ever recorded, has been spotted and brought here from another reality existing parallel to the one most of us regard as the only one.

It was recorded during 1958-59, as a collaboration between the, at the time, not very well known night club singer Cláudia and Nicolino Cópia "Copinha", an already renowned maestro.

No brega sounds on this one, folks:

1. Anema e Core (Salvatore D'Esposito / Tito Manlio) -  Instrumental
2. Come Prima (Mario Panzeri / Di Paola / Taccani)
3. Não Adianta Chorar (Eduardo Patané / Almeida Rego)
4. Deixe-me  (Copinha / Julio Сésar)

Рiеrrе Коlmаnn е Sеu Соnjuntо - Раrа Dаnçаr (1957)

Мusidisс Нi-Fi 2002

When renowned musicians play and record Para Dançar music, the resulting albums have a tremendous advantage over their other works for the simple reason that there are no artistic pretensions involved, as well as no starting ideas of the "Now I will create a masterpiece which will find it's place in the history of music" kind, but are relaxed and play the melodies in a manner they feel like playing them, creating thus, unintentionally, real art.

This goes for Leal Вrito, alias Рiеrrе Коlmаnn as well as may others. You have the advantage to enjoy or to dismiss these, in a Para Dançar style, recorded tracks:

01. Maraсangalha (Dorival Сауmmi)
02. Summertime In Veniсe (Alessandro Сiсognini)
03. Whatever Will Вe, Will Вe (Jaу Livingstоn / Rау Еvans)

Orquestra TV - Músicas do Nosso Tempo (1957)

Fаntasia/Рhiliрs SLР 1802

Orquestra TV, an orchestra I knew nothing about until recently, has a premiere on Parallel Realities (and probably also on the net in general).
No additional information about the orchestra and the musicians, neither on the net, nor on the back cover of 2 of their 3 career albums (all recorded in 1957), which came in the newest package sent by Pedro & 300 discos.

-----------------------
DIGRESSION: In this same package arrived also 8 albums by J.T.Meirelles. Four of them I managed to post, while the other four contain probably copyrighted tracks as they were repeatedly rejected by Deposit files during their content check after uploading.
Sorry about that, but there it is.

If somebody has any additional information about Orquestra TV, he is welcome to share it with us.

What I can share at the moment, are these compositions performed by Orquestra TV:

EDIT: After multiple efforts to upload this album failed, I gave it up. All other files which I uploaded at the same time showed up in my Deposit files manager, only this one, after uploading, gets deleted immediately.
Possible answer to why this happens is in that Deposit files is checking the uploaded files for copyrighted content.
So I googled again to see if this album is maybe commercially available, and found out that the tracks can indeed be bought over the net.
As I do my best to avoid any problems with copyrightes, I have removed the link (as it leads to nothing, anyway).
Sorry!

El-Son 7 - Brasilia Jovem (1968)

PR-LP-1000

El-Son 7, an unknown (to me and also not listed on Memória Musical) septet lead by tenor sax player Elson, has his premiere on Parallel Realities with their album Brasilia Jovem, released at an unknown date...

If anybody has any more information about El-Som 7, besides the few words (mostly about Brasilia, the new capital of Brasil) on the back cover, he is welcome to share it.

The septet members are:

Elson - sax tenor
Luiz Carlos - bateria
Mozart - guitarra
Castro - contra-baixo
Wilson - órgão
Marcos e Taky - crooners

The compostions and their renditions are Jovem Guarda as the title suggests:

03. Eu te amo, te amo, te amo
04. My dream
05. O Milionário
06. Fascinating rhythm

REVIW by brazilliance:

What a strange selection of songs… George and Ira Gershwin meet The Beatles and Francis Lai.. But what a fun album it is!

According to raridadesdopipiu.blogspot.com and senhorf.com, this group was formed in 1963 as The Good Boys. When saxophonist Elson joined in 1967, the group was renamed to Elson & Seus Good Boys. In 1968, Wilson and Tachy joined and they finally became El-Son 7.

This album was probably recorded in 1968 when they allegedly played with Eliana Pitman, Elis Regina, Roberto Carlos, Wilson Simonal and Sergio Mendes. In 1969, the group split and the members continued as 7 Elson and Os Mugs. 7 Elson recorded one more album in 1972, before Elson died in 1974.

Unfortunately, Elson doesn’t seem to have a surname. However, his sax tone is solid and it seems that El-Son 7 was quite a local celebrity in Brasília in the late sixties.

By the way: this is only the third version of ‘Samba de Rei’ recorded in the sixties after Leny Andrade and Eumir Deodato and his Catedráticos in 1965.

There is a very interesting text about him printed on the back cover which I suggest reading.

Meia Noite No Meia-Noite - Moacyr Silva e Seu Conjunto / Cópia e Seu Conjunto (1958)

Todamérica LPP-TA-312

The absolute highlight (from my point of view) of the newest package which arrived today from Pedro & 300 discos is the long searched for ultra-rarity by Moacyr Silva and Nicolino Cópia alias Copinha: Meia Noite No Meia-Noite recorded back in 1958, featured on my Santa Claus list two times (once under each artist's name).

Similar atmosphere to the one year before released 10 Inch by Luiz Bandeira Cantando No Meia Noite do Copacabana Palace and the one year later released Prelúdio de Amor by Nicolino Cópia, the masterpiece presented today features Luiz Bandeira (on one track, backed by Moacyr Silva) and Cláudia Barroso (on one track backed by Nicolino Cópia)

The side one of the album, performed by Moacyr Silva, as well as the side two by Nicolino Cópia are included uninterrupted, as well as split into separate tracks:

LADO 1:

01. My Funny Valentine (Richard Rodgers / Lorenz Hart)
      Intérprete: Moacyr Silva

02. Portrait Of Jennie  (J. R. Robison / G. Burdge)
      Intérprete: Moacyr Silva

03. Tangerine (Johnny Mercer / Victor Schertzinger)
      Intérprete: Moacyr Silva

04. Recado de Olinda (Luiz Bandeira)
      Intérprete: Moacyr Silva
      Participação: Luiz Bandeira

05. Encontrei Minha Amada (Arlindo Marques Júnior / Roberto Roberti)
       Intérprete: Moacyr Silva

06. O Apito no Samba (Luiz Bandeira / Luis Antônio)
      Intérprete: Moacyr Silva

LADO 2:

07. Unforgettable (Irving Gordon)
      Intérprete: Copinha

08. Believe In Love (Paul Francis Webster / H. Gietz)
      Intérprete: Copinha

09. What Is This Thing Called Love  (Cole Porter)
      Intérprete: Copinha

10. Não Adianta Chorar (Eduardo Patané / Almeida Rego)
      Intérprete: Copinha
      Participação: Cláudia Barroso

11. Flamengo (Bonfíglio de Oliveira)
      Intérprete: Copinha

12. Pé no Jacá (Hélio Marinho)
      Intérprete: Copinha

Probably you have rightly guessed that I am not able to restrain myself from pointing out that track 10 Não Adianta Chorar sung by Cláudia Barroso is spectacular and makes it even more difficult for me to find a logical answer why Cláudia has not continued her collaboration with Copinha.

Nelson e Sua Gaita Magica - Com Seu Conjunto & Bandinha (1958)

Сontinentаl LРР 3026

The only career album by harmonica player Nelson Barbosa de Oliveira better known to those who have ever heard about him as Nelson da Gaita, recorded back in 1958 brought to light and presented now to us all out of Pedro's treasure vault, where all kinds of musical gems are to be found.

My knowledge about Nelson's life and career was as good as yours is at this moment, but fortunately the back cover offers detailed information about this fine musician and his music (to those who understand Portuguese).

Besides himself, on the back cover are mentioned 3 more names as performers:

Amado Expósito (Baixo)
Vicente Klimeika (Gaita cromática)
Édson Cavalcanti (Gaita de acordes)

The compositions they are playing, accompanied by conjunto & bandinha, are:

Lоndоn/Оdеоn LLВ 1046

Another missing album by Nelsinho do Trombone brought to light thanks to Pedro & 300 discos.

Judging by the title and conception of the Вrazilian Вeat series consisting of 5 volumes by different artists (Vol.1 features Maestro Cipó And His Authentic Rhythm Group and the volumes 2, 4 and 5 Meirelles e Sua Orquestra) the complete series was meant as an introduction to Brazilian rhythms to people from abroad, probably from USA.

Whether you are from USA or not, you will enjoy these tracks bursting with rhythm:

Nossa Orquestra - Saudade Amiga (1967/8)

Ritmos/Codil CDL 13013

Nossa Orquestra has recorded this one album on a date unknown to me. Honestly speaking, the existence of the orchestra itself has also been unknown to me up to now and probably to most of you and has so far never ever been presented on the net. At least, not that i know of such a presentation.

In short: A rarity!

More about Nossa Orquestra may be deducted from the names of it's prominent members and the instruments they play, luckily all neatly printed on the back cover, together with a text about this LP (in Portuguese).

The musicians are:

José Zimbres (Regências, Piano)

Julie Joy - Verão Em Veneza / Finge Gostar 78 Rpm (1956)

Sinter - 493 (2013 - a parallel reality)

Travel through time and parallel realities, once mastered, becomes a routine, but occasionally surprises are to be expected.
One of such surprises happened during a trip to find a rare 78 rpm by Julie Joy, which was originally published by Sinter in 1956 and numbered 493.

Standing on a street in the residential quarter of Kandahar and looking upon a public clock made me aware that, instead of the expected year 1956 it was clearly displayed that the year is 2013.

A few steps away from the clock, squeezed between a sweets shop and an opium smoker's den, was a small record shop with a Brazilian flag above the entrance and a sign ALAMOS RECORDS.

The shop was full of vinyl albums, mostly compilations of rare Brazilian tracks, re-issued, as the owner, an elderly gentleman with a strong Portuguese accent, explained, during the last decade.

As if he knew what I was looking for, he pulled out an album and said that it is a re-edition of the original Sinter 78 rpm from 1956, remastered using the newest military technology and re-printed as a 78 rpm. It was wrapped in a transparent plastic sleeve with a portrait of Julie Joy printed on the plastic.

That was it. I left the shop with this recording in my hands asking just one question more:

Who gets the credits for this nice surprise?

A. Verão Em Veneza (Summertime In Venice) (Icini /    C. Sigman /    Vrs. Ribeiro Filho)
    Fox-trot
B. Finge Gostar (Chico Anysio /    Jaime Florence "Meira")

Joias de Julie Joy (1958)

Сolumbia LРСВ 37009

Julie Joy was presented a long time ago on our friend Simon Boutmans's Unbreakable Microgrooves blog, which Simon unfortunately closed for reasons unclear to me. Since then her only career album remained unavailable to all who have not downloaded it while it lasted.

Needless to stress that I strongly hope that Simon will return to us all once more with his rare music and competent informations.

Inside the newest package sent by Pedro & 300 discos I found this album again (in form of a Pedro transfer and cover scans), so all who have missed it have one opportunity more to download it.

The tracks Julie is singing accompanied by Renato de Oliveira e Sua Orquestra are:

01. Podes Voltar (Nazareno de Brito / Othon Russo)
02. Até Que... (Till) (Сarl Sigman / Сharles Danvers / Vrs. Osvaldo Santiago)
03. Prisioneira (Nazareno de Вrito)
04. Adeus Palavra Sentida (Odilon Noronha)
05. Tarde Demais (Athayde Julio)
06. Sombras (Truly) (A. Lavello / J. Merсer / Vrs. Airereрe)
07. Era Mentira (Nelson Gomes / Moacir Vieira)
08. E a Chuva Parou (Ribamar / Esdras Pereira da Silva / Viсtor Freire)
09. Serenata (L. Anderson / Mitсhell Рarish / J. Рiante / Vrs. Othon Russo)
10. Não Sei Рorque (Сarrossel) (N. Ortiz / Vrs. Fernando César)
11. Não Me Culpe (Dolores Duran)
12. Tinha Que Ser (Fernando Сésar)

All this should be considered as an intro to another story taking place in another reality existing parallel to the one we believe is the one we are living in...

Stay tuned...
And:
While it lasts,

ENJOY JULIE JOY

Corisco & Os Brasaloucos (1967)

Сontinental РРL 12345

Тhe sixth and final career album by Corisco, this time accompanied by Os Brasaloucos.

What exactly the difference between Os Sambaloucos and Os Brasaloucos might be, I do not know as the members of the Brasaloucos are not credited by name on the cover of this album, but noticeable in the atmosphere is a strong touch of Тhе Вeatlеs, not only on the first track, but throughout the whole album.

Of course, it is best to listen yourself to these renditions and make your own opinion:

Corisco e Os Sambaloucos - Incêndio No Samba (1965)

Рhiliрs Р 632.741 L

By now, it sounds like a safe bet to guess that the newest package sent by Pedro & 300 discos contains the complete Corisco discography, which consists of 6 career albums.

This is not quite true. This album I am posting now was not inside this package, but is the album Zeca originally posted on Loronix. To complete Corisco's discography on Parallel Realities I searched my backups to find it, as I downloaded it from Loronix several years ago, but in vain.

Then I asked 300 discos to send me his copy of this album as he posted it on Órfãos do Loronix. There you may, as usual, read Zeca's original text.

And now, something unusual:

I decided to post all 6 albums without interruption, chronologically one after the other.

Now playing:

01. Вiсho do Mato (Jorge Вen "Jorge Вenjor")
02. Menino das Laranjas (Theo de Вarros)
03. Só Vou de Balanço (João Roberto Kelly)
04. O Sapo (Jaime Silva / Neusa Teixeira)
