Hm... I think that it is not necessary to explain why I am presenting Edith Veiga for the first time with a compacto that originally has 4 songs...

In the side branch of parallel realities where I have taken it from there is only one, the first composition: Let's call it a promotional single from another reality existing almost invisible beside ours...

Any pretext is good enough to present these front and back covers e.g::I am doing it because of the song itself that is on the "compacto".

Maria Toledo

Looks like a created a confusion with one album on my Santa Claus wish list: 1962 Maria Toledo sings Bonfa.

It is an obscure album which is impossible to find (at last for me), for which I could not find even the track listing and not a thumbnail of the cover.

In 1967 Maria Toledo recorded an album with almost the same title: Maria Toledo sings the best of Luiz Bonfa, which I have for a long time. It is a beautiful recording but as it is commercially available I did not post it here to avoid problems with violations of copyright issues.

Last night I checked my mailbox and found this album which Edson Mendes sent to me assuming that it is the one from my wish list.

Well, everybody here knows that Edson's transfers from vinyl are perfect and so are his cover scans. As I did not have the back cover and my audio copy was rather weak, I was delighted but also ashamed that now I have something that I can not share with you.

OK, the music is copyrighted, commercially available and I can not post it but Edson's high quallity scans form his own vinyl is something that is a beauty in itself and I can share it.

So I am doing it.

The zip file contains high resolution scans of both covers and a text file Edson sent.

Last night brought some nice surprises.

Simon Boutman a friend from Rio de Janeiro finally decided to reopen his site with Brazilian music which he closed in 2008, the UNBREAKABLE MICROGROOVES, a blog which was among my top favorites. The first post he made after reopening his site is a rare album by Lucienne Franco:: Pelos Caminhos do Mundo (1962), which is on my Santa Claus wishlist for a long time and now it is found!

Simon was also so kind to send me as a present this rare compacto by Doris Monteiro from 1967 with music that is not on any of her albums and I am sharing it with you now.

Actually I downloaded these 5 tracks from a user called PaulFfm. It is tracks 7-11 from Feito Para Dancar No 10. Waiting that all tracks show up has been wasted in vain, so that I decided to post this compacto duplo, taken from another reallity where these tracks were actually released in form of an EP.

Hebe Camargo - Exclusividade + 1 (1994)

This album consists of 14 tracks covering the period from 1963 to 1965, and was released 1994. At least I assume so after reading the info from the properties tab on the mp3 tracks itselves. It was downloaded from lady Claudia Beraldo of the Cantos Encantos site and she labeled the album Exclusividade + 1. Is this the regular name of the compilation or is it Claudia's casual remark I do not know, and believing that it is maybe better to leave a small mystery surrounding this release I didn't ask Claudia for details.
So I am posting it now, with a cover created at the Parallel Realities Studio, as is usual when I do not have the original covers.

It is clear that, after listening to Martha Mendonça's Dentro da Noite, I searched for other recordings by her. Unfortunately her other career albums are impossible to find but I ran into a collected tracks zip labeled "Diversas" containing 14 tracks without any cover.
I have not written down the person's name who originally uploaded the zip, all I can remember that it was posted someplace on the Orkut forums.
So I am presenting it as I found it, with a cover created at the Parallel Realities Studio.

I have published Miltinho on this blog, but only in combination with the ladies he was singing with. Now this is a Miltinho only recording, an EP with 4 tracks.
What I like about Miltinho are first of all his moustaches of the playboy kind, so rare to encounter nowadays. Frankly, I am publishng this record mainly because of the front cover.
